I think my husband might be right...
...maybe I shouldn't bake tonight.
I think he's mostly worried I might get distracted and fall into the basement.
Besides... my baking supplies are in the dining room.

wow..looks scary..that huge hole to the basement! But you are going to get a beautiful kitchen soon right? hang in there!
The hole to the basement is where there used to be a staircase. At the landing on the former staircase you can kind of see the outline of what used to be a door to the back yard. You can see the difference the stairs made to the size of the kitchen (and the reason why the fridge is currently where it is) by looking at the pictures here.
